We have called Birchwood, Wisconsin, home since 1927.

Years before we hosted our first family, we undertook extensive cabin renovations and property improvements. The vision was to create “luxury on the lake" - a family vacation destination that blends the beauty of the Wisconsin Northwoods with high-end amenities.

We officially opened the doors to Nick Lake Lodge in 2023. Since then, we have welcomed over 30 families for reunions, birthday parties, and holiday celebrations.

Thanks to our guests’ and their reviews, we are recognized as a Superhost and Premier Host on popular traditional booking sites.

Starting in the summer of 2026, we are excited to take our guest partnerships with local businesses, bringing in a private chef, and creating a week where you show up and everything is already handled. We built schliesmannestates.com to go a step further and offer our guests more value, better pricing, and a direct line to our team from the moment you book. Improvements have not stopped. We are currently building and investing in improvements to accommodate. We built our packages around one idea: give families the best of Birchwood without the planning headache.
